TRAINING FOR BLACK BELT
All students will start at White Belt.
(Transfer and return students are not considered new)
After 24 to 28 classes have been completed the white belt students are invited to test for their next belt. After promotion to the Brown Belt level, futher promotions will require more training. Promotion test are then granted by invitation only. Tae Kwon Do skills are monitored at each class and instructors will know when the student is ready to test from Brown to Red Belt.
With hard training and following the Tae Kwon Do code , belt promotions will then be granted in the following order.
White Belt, 9TH GUP: (Group)
This first belt stage symbolizes purity and the beginning of knowledge.
YELLOW Belt, 8TH GUP
means this is the color of early spring. The student has accumulated a wealth of fundamental martial arts knowledge.
ORANGE Belt , 7TH GUP
means the color of the rising sun. Seeds in the ground begin to germinate and grow. Basic tae kwon do techniques begin to be learned.
GREEN Belt, 6TH GUP
means the color of summer and growth. It symbolizes the students’ expanding world.
PURPLE Belt, 5TH GUP
is a time of awakening. It pertains to growth and awakening.
BLUE Belt, 4TH GUP
is the color of the sky. This student begins to realize his or her potential and ambitions.
BROWN Belt, 3RD GUP
The color of the ground where growing things are rooted firmly. Stability of physical and mental power is apparent.
RED Belt, 2ND GUP
Red is for danger. At this stage the student is becoming very skilled in their Tae Kwon Do . But may have more to learn about self-control. Usually only 2 promotions away from your black belt!
RED/BLACK Belt, 1ST GUP
The second part of Red Belt training that intensifies with forms, advance kicking and hand techniques and proceeds toward testing for the sought after Black Belt.
BLACK BELT, 1ST DAN
(Step, Grade or Degree)
Black is the combination of all color. The final stage where technique is mastered within the humble and serene beauty of the plant.
One must be an adult 18 years or older and be able to qualify for one of our payment system.
